Art Related Experience
I began my art training as a production potter and had a business in my 20’s called Porcelain & Stoneware. I worked doing promotion for Canadore College when I was a student there. I also had the opportunity to work for Shirely Fineblit in her business “Glassworks” doing hot glass making, kiln firing as well as sales and shipping while I was living in Toronto.
After graduating from OCAD, I moved to the west and did layout for “The New Catlyst” magazine. I worked as a Gallery Co-ordinator and Arts Administrator at a nonprofit society in Lillooet called the Miyazaki Heritage House Society between 1986 and 1988. After moving to Vancouver, I worked as a photographer for Dezza Dance, with Desiree Dunbar, choreographer and dancer, as well as some set design.
